Base Salary
$230k - $390k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and build scalable, low-latency data platforms capable of processing large volumes of data.
- Develop real-time eventing infrastructure, streaming and batch ETL pipelines, and an Iceberg-based data lakehouse.
- Own interactive OLAP querying, orchestration, experimentation, data governance, lineage, and platform testing.
- Build long-term agent memory, reusable customer data platform primitives, and personalization optimization loops.
- Create analytics dashboards, data visualization tools, alerting systems, and exploration interfaces.
- Design and ship production systems or products while collaborating across platform and product engineering areas.
Requirements
- 4–7+ years of hands-on software development experience building and shipping production systems or products.
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience with large-scale data systems, distributed systems, and backend development using technologies such as Spark, Flink, Trino/Presto, Iceberg, Hudi, Go, Scala, or Python.
- Experience with data modeling, analytical query optimization, storage engines, query plans, serialization formats, governance, lineage, and data testing.
- For product engineering work, experience building shipped data products and full-stack applications with TypeScript, React, and a service layer such as Go.
- Practical experience with ML-powered product features such as personalization, recommendations, or classification systems.
- Preferred experience with Kafka or Kinesis, real-time data processing, ECharts or D3.js, recommender systems, optimization loops, multi-armed bandits, ranking, technical project leadership, or mentoring engineers.
