Responsibilities
- Define enterprise target-state architecture, multi-year technology strategy, reference architectures, governance frameworks, and architectural guardrails.
- Own AWS cloud strategy, modernization standards, migration pathways, operating models, and optimization priorities.
- Set the enterprise platform engineering and automation strategy across infrastructure as code, DevOps, DevSecOps, CI/CD, orchestration, policy as code, and self-service engineering.
- Define architecture for operational resilience, reliability, observability, incident management, disaster recovery, business continuity, capacity, and technology risk.
- Establish enterprise strategy and governance for AI, GenAI, machine learning, MLOps, and AIOps.
- Advise executive and senior technology leadership on investment priorities, architectural risk, transformation roadmaps, and emerging technologies.
- Lead architecture councils and cross-functional decision forums while mentoring senior architects, principal engineers, and technology leaders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 15 years of progressively responsible experience across enterprise architecture, cloud platforms, infrastructure, operations, platform engineering, or technology strategy.
- Extensive experience as a principal or equivalent enterprise-level architect with authority across multiple complex technology domains.
- Demonstrated success leading multi-year, enterprise-scale cloud, platform, automation, resilience, or AI transformations.
- Experience advising executive leadership on significant technology strategy, investment, risk, and modernization decisions.
- Proven ability to establish enterprise architecture strategies, standards, governance frameworks, and reference architectures adopted across organizations.
- Exceptional mastery of AWS cloud architecture, platform engineering, automation, operational resilience, AI-enabled technologies, systemic technology risk, cybersecurity, regulatory requirements, and business continuity.
- Recognized technical accomplishments such as industry contributions, patents, publications, speaking engagements, standards participation, or professional leadership are highly desirable.
