Base Salary

$125k - $220k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Build and refine CNN- and Transformer-based detection, segmentation, and tracking architectures for EO/IR and multi-spectral imagery.
  • Develop large-scale datasets, training recipes, evaluation pipelines, regression tests, and model-update loops using field data.
  • Optimize models for real-time embedded inference through quantization, pruning, runtime optimization, and CPU/GPU profiling.
  • Fuse vision outputs with radar, LiDAR, and RF cues for confirmation, association, and track management.
  • Create visualization, triage, and root-cause tools for simulation, hardware-in-the-loop, and flight-log analysis.
  • Define end-to-end test plans with hardware and flight teams and validate algorithms using high-fidelity sensor simulations and real-world datasets.
  • Monitor health metrics and model drift, support graceful degradation, and document tests mapped to performance requirements.

Requirements

  • Production C++ on Linux and Python for ML and tooling, including profiling, optimization, rigorous testing, and CUDA performance debugging.
  • Experience with modern detection, segmentation, and tracking architectures and training or fine-tuning models in PyTorch.
  • Experience building large, diverse datasets, labeling and QA pipelines, augmentation workflows, experiment tracking, and reproducible training.
  • Hands-on experience with INT8/FP16 model compression, runtime optimization, and real-time inference constraints.
  • Experience with EO/IR imagery and real flight or test data in challenging environments.
  • BS, MS, or PhD in computer science, electrical engineering, robotics, or a similar field, or equivalent experience, with 7+ years of experience and a record of shipping ML models to production.
  • Preferred experience with multi-modal perception using EO/IR, radar, LiDAR, and RF data.
  • Preferred experience with adversarial and rare-event testing, long-horizon reliability metrics, dataset shift and drift monitoring, physics-aware imaging, synthetic data, and simulation.
  • Preferred experience with SQL, Parquet, dataset versioning tools, CI-based validation, MLOps, and scalable multi-GPU training.
