Base Salary
$131k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the architectural vision, technology strategy, and roadmap for Conga’s B2B Platform, shared services, and enterprise data capabilities.
- Lead the design and review of complex business-critical systems, distributed platforms, and large-scale modernization initiatives.
- Establish architecture standards, governance processes, and engineering best practices across teams and organizations.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Security, Operations, Data, and Executive leadership to align technology investments with business objectives.
- Design scalable enterprise data capabilities covering ingestion, processing, storage, governance, access, integration, and reuse.
- Drive adoption of cloud-native, Azure-based, API-first, event-driven, and scalable architectural approaches.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and architectural patterns while balancing security, reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.
- Mentor architects, principal engineers, and senior technical contributors and serve as an escalation point for complex technical challenges.
Requirements
- 12+ years of software engineering experience, including significant experience in architecture leadership roles.
- Proven success defining and implementing architecture for large-scale enterprise SaaS platforms and distributed systems.
- Deep expertise in Java-based application development, cloud-native architectures, microservices, and modern software engineering practices.
- Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns, API management, event-driven architectures, and platform engineering principles.
- Experience designing highly scalable, secure, resilient, and observable SaaS solutions for enterprise customers.
- Hands-on expertise with public cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
- Strong experience with relational and NoSQL databases, data modeling, and high-volume transaction systems.
- Experience designing enterprise data management capabilities and integrating modern data platforms such as Databricks with operational applications and platform services.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technology strategy, influence architectural decisions across multiple teams, and drive pragmatic architectural governance.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience mentoring architects, principal engineers, and senior technical contributors.
