Staff Windows Low Level C++ Engineer - Endpoint security
SentinelOneResponsibilities
- Design and develop advanced Windows endpoint protection capabilities in user mode and kernel mode.
- Build and maintain anti-tampering protections, network sensors, device control, and other kernel-side features.
- Develop user-mode agent infrastructure including installers, logging, services, communication layers, and interfaces.
- Write primarily modern C++ and test, debug, optimize, rewrite, and reimplement complex production features.
- Research Windows internals and resolve difficult performance, stability, and system-level debugging problems.
- Collaborate with distributed engineering teams and share knowledge across Platform and Windows groups.
Requirements
- Multiple years of software engineering experience in low-level programming with modern C++ or C, with willingness to learn modern C++.
- Hands-on experience and in-depth understanding of Windows OS design, internals, and low-level development.
- Experience debugging Windows applications and familiarity with standard debugging and profiling tools.
- Experience working on a production-grade product with wide-scale deployment.
- Ability to communicate effectively, work independently and collaboratively across time zones, and solve complex problems.
- Strong attention to detail and high coding standards.
- Experience with Windows Kernel or Windows Drivers development, security-oriented development, reversing, or malware analysis is advantageous.
