Base Salary
$136k - $204k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, operate, maintain, test, and integrate embedded software and firmware components.
- Apply software architecture, object-oriented design, design patterns, and Government Reference Architectures to program and product needs.
- Develop and maintain reusable interfaces and testing infrastructure.
- Collaborate with application teams, customers, suppliers, users, and technical personnel to support implementation and adherence to standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve application-team efficiency and standardize implementation details.
- Support the full software development life cycle, including requirements, design, coding, testing, and integration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar engineering discipline with 8+ years of engineering experience, or a master’s degree with 6+ years of experience, or an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- Object-oriented programming experience in C++, with C++11 experience preferred.
- Familiarity with software architecture, design patterns, and object-oriented design.
- Familiarity with Python, Bash, or Batch scripting languages.
- Experience developing embedded software for Linux or VxWorks.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git, GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket, or ClearCase and planning tools such as Rally or Jira.
- U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance are required.
- Preferred experience includes testing, debugging, and integrating embedded software on target hardware and working with parallel processing, multi-threading, distributed processing, multi-core, system-on-chip, and secure processing systems.
- Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, interpersonal communication, and collaboration skills are preferred.
