Base Salary
$160k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the technical vision, architecture, and expansion of backend systems powering Coalition Control and other Coalition security products.
- Design, build, and operate distributed systems and cloud-based services in production.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering to translate product goals into iterative plans and contribute across the stack with backend depth.
- Design, implement, maintain, and integrate APIs with third-party platforms.
- Guide architectural trade-offs, establish technical standards, conduct code reviews, and share knowledge with other engineers.
- Improve engineering practices around code quality, testing, reliability, AI-assisted workflows, and reducing toil.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a backend engineer designing and building distributed systems and cloud-based production services.
- Demonstrated technical leadership in influencing architecture, setting technical standards, enabling engineers, and collaborating across teams.
- Strong proficiency with AI workflows and Python/FastAPI, TypeScript/Node.js, or a similar modern backend language and framework.
- Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and maintaining APIs and integrating with third-party APIs or platforms.
- Solid understanding of security concepts and practices.
- Strong communication skills and a practical, outcome-oriented approach to problem solving.
- Experience with React.js and cybersecurity is a plus but not strictly required.
