Responsibilities
- Design and build validation and safety products used across Netflix engineering, including test generation, coverage safeguards, test selection, and mutation testing.
- Build a polyglot static-analysis layer that provides an automated quality gate for agent-generated code.
- Develop safety signals for prompt flakiness, agent trajectories, execution traces, semantic correctness, stated intent, and observed behavior changes.
- Define platform capabilities and make build-versus-buy and build-versus-extend decisions.
- Apply sandboxing, scoping, and data-redaction practices when agents access test infrastructure or execution environments.
Requirements
- Experience building or operating platforms used by other engineering teams, with a platform-oriented product mindset.
- Ability to make product and API decisions about platform capabilities and ownership.
- Advanced daily use of agentic coding tools, including hooks, MCPs, and context management.
- Working understanding of agent sandboxing, scoping, and data redaction.
- Strong communication and technical documentation skills for engineering and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with test frameworks, code coverage tooling, CI systems, and post-deployment verification.
- Experience with developer-platform infrastructure such as distribution, CI/CD, or versioning systems used by many teams is preferred.
- Experience building or integrating LLM-based evaluation systems, such as LLM-as-judge or agent trajectory scoring, is preferred.
- Experience with mutation testing, static analysis, or test-selection systems at scale is preferred.
- Hands-on experience sandboxing or scoping agent access to sensitive systems or data is preferred.
