Responsibilities
- Manage real-time market data in the EMEA region and build regional use cases and requirements.
- Support the global data and analytics platform handling real-time and historical market data.
- Work closely with regional trading desks, quants, developers, QA, and production support teams.
- Implement functionality based on defined APIs and develop library-grade software.
- Contribute to analytics, design, development, coding, testing, and application programming for high-quality software and products.
- Maintain clean, efficient coding practices and document technical solutions.
- Create innovative analytics solutions that advance the business.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience working with large financial datasets such as market data, order or execution data, and positions data.
- At least 3 years of KDB+/Q experience.
- Experience working in a Unix/Linux environment.
- Experience with Python, including cloud, Iceberg, and Parquet.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including confidence communicating with developers, QA, and production support teams.
- Ability to learn new technologies and business knowledge.
- Java experience is a plus.
- Agile methodology experience is an advantage.
- Capital-markets experience in areas such as derivatives, stocks, indexes, or ETF trading is highly valued.
- A proven delivery track record and cloud experience, such as AWS, are preferred.
- Strong teamwork, ownership, thoroughness, critical thinking, and willingness to contribute new ideas.
