Responsibilities
- Design and develop end-to-end features across the full stack using React, TypeScript, GraphQL, and Postgres.
- Architect and optimize backend data models, APIs, and services for performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Build intuitive user interfaces for complex hardware manufacturing workflows.
- Maintain and improve CI pipelines, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and on-call reliability.
- Implement comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end automated testing.
- Lead technical design discussions and contribute to Boltline platform architecture.
- Partner with product, design, and hardware teams to translate user needs into scalable software.
- Participate in on-call and incident response activities.
- Mentor and guide mid-level through internship-level engineers through reviews, pairing, and design collaboration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience building production web applications.
- Deep expertise in full-stack TypeScript.
- Proficiency with some combination of React, GraphQL, TypeScript, and Postgres.
- Experience designing and maintaining backend services with Node.js, Next.js, or similar frameworks.
- Strong understanding of software testing principles and modern testing frameworks.
- Ability to own features from concept through deployment and iteration.
- Prior on-call or incident response participation.
- Preferred experience with Next.js, Apollo Client or Server, Hasura, or similar technologies.
- Preferred familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes or ECS, AWS infrastructure, Temporal, Kafka, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or similar tools.
- Exposure to manufacturing, aerospace, or complex physical systems is preferred.
- Strong collaboration, communication, ownership, and execution skills.
