Full Stack Engineer
Northwestern MutualResponsibilities
- Analyze, design, develop, deploy, and support software solutions and infrastructure implementations or upgrades.
- Build full stack software using modern JavaScript frameworks, backend technologies, databases, and cloud services.
- Establish monitoring and automation processes while applying test-driven development and continuous integration practices.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, analytics experts, UX researchers, and end users to define requirements, investigate problems, and develop solutions.
- Release iterative MVPs to production and gather feedback through direct observation and interaction with end users.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of full stack engineering experience.
- Experience with one or more modern JavaScript frameworks, including React, Angular 2, or ES6.
- Experience with backend technologies such as Node with Express, Java Spring Boot, or .NET Core.
- Experience with front-end CSS frameworks such as Foundation or Bootstrap and CSS precompilers such as Sass or Less.
- Experience with relational and non-structured databases, cloud services such as AWS or Azure, and Git source control.
- Experience working in Agile methodologies or a DevOps environment.
- A finance or accounting background is preferred but not required.
- A bachelor's degree is desired.
