Responsibilities
- Lead Product Engineering epics and stories.
- Develop repeatable Ensono public-cloud services and solutions.
- Define and evolve public-cloud technical standards for repeatability, supportability, scalability, and security.
- Research technical stacks through assessments, bake-offs, and proofs of concept.
- Assess and onboard new AWS and GCP services.
- Deploy automated infrastructure and systems using Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, and scripting.
- Advise pre-sales architects on technical standards.
- Provide subject matter expertise and final-line escalation support to cloud operations.
- Stay current with public-cloud services and related technologies.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience supporting highly customer-focused, mission-critical environments.
- At least 5 years of experience architecting, engineering, or supporting public-cloud solutions on AWS or GCP.
- Strong knowledge of AWS or GCP best practices, security considerations, and architectural design patterns.
- Multiple current AWS or Google Cloud certifications, or equivalent knowledge.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience with configuration management systems such as Ansible.
- Strong Linux knowledge and experience, including RHCE-level capability or equivalent.
- Scripting ability in Python, Perl, or Bash.
- Experience with Git, AWS or GCP CLI, and cloud scripting.
- Experience with containerized environments such as ECS, EKS, Kubernetes, or Docker is useful but not essential.
- Experience with Jenkins or other CI/CD pipeline technology is useful.
- Ability to use AI tools such as Copilot, Claude, or Kiro to improve productivity and quality.
- Good knowledge of TCP/IP.
- A computing-related degree is preferred, or equivalent ability and knowledge.
- ITIL and Agile experience is beneficial.
- Strong written and verbal communication, documentation, presentation, organization, and independent-working skills.
