Responsibilities
- Lead Product Engineering epics and stories as the lead engineer.
- Develop and operationalize repeatable Ensono public cloud services and solutions.
- Define and evolve public cloud technical standards for repeatability, supportability, scalability, and security.
- Research and evaluate technical stacks through assessments, bake-offs, and proof-of-concepts.
- Assess and onboard new AWS and GCP services aligned with the product roadmap.
- Deploy automated infrastructure and systems using infrastructure-as-code, configuration management, and scripting.
- Advise pre-sales architects on technical standards and provide cloud subject matter expertise.
- Serve as a final escalation point for major cloud operations problems.
- Stay current with public cloud services and related technologies.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience supporting highly customer-focused mission-critical environments.
- At least 5 years of experience architecting, engineering, or supporting AWS or GCP public cloud solutions.
- Strong knowledge of AWS or GCP best practices, security considerations, and architectural design patterns.
- Experience implementing and supporting public-cloud workloads and services.
- Multiple current AWS or Google Cloud certifications, or equivalent knowledge.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience with configuration management systems such as Ansible.
- Excellent Linux knowledge and experience, with RHCE or equivalent knowledge preferred.
- Scripting experience in Python, Perl, or Bash.
- Experience using Git for version control and AWS or GCP CLI tools.
- Container experience with ECS, EKS, Kubernetes, or Docker is useful but not essential.
- Experience with Jenkins or other CI/CD pipeline technology is useful.
- Ability to use AI tools such as Copilot, Claude, or Kiro to improve productivity and quality.
- Good knowledge of TCP/IP.
- A computing-related degree is preferred, or equivalent ability and knowledge.
- Experience in ITIL and Agile environments is beneficial.
- Strong written and verbal communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently, simplify complex problems, and deliver supportable solutions.
