Base Salary
$86k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, modify, develop, deploy, and maintain complex custom applications and databases for AI/ML-enabled GIS solutions.
- Build imagery, FMV, and geospatial AI/ML solutions supporting U.S. Special Operations Forces objectives.
- Acquire, transform, analyze, and visualize GIS datasets for crisis planning and contingency response.
- Recommend technologies that improve the presentation and use of enterprise GIS products and support integrated systems planning.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, resolve project challenges, understand user requirements, and develop process-improvement solutions.
- Provide technical writing, communicate effectively, collaborate with the team, and lead projects while completing assignments on schedule.
Requirements
- Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or a related quantitative field plus eight years of professional IT experience, or typically twelve years of progressive experience managing the end-to-end lifecycle of software applications.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and at least one application development language such as C# or C++.
- Familiarity with SQL databases including MSSQL, PostgreSQL, or MySQL and with developing and using REST APIs.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively lead projects.
- Ability to obtain and maintain the appropriate certification under DoD 8570.01.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree in computer science or a similar field, three to five years of cloud computing experience, geospatial dataset integration experience, and familiarity with React and NodeJS.
