Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, hire, and develop a team of 4–8 QA and automation engineers.
- Own test strategy, risk assessment, coverage targets, regression planning, and release-quality decisions for connector and platform releases.
- Architect and evolve UI, API, contract, backend, and data-pipeline automation frameworks.
- Build resilient UI automation, mock vendor APIs, record-replay harnesses, and automated data validation flows.
- Own API and contract testing for authentication, pagination, throttling, schema validation, and vendor error handling.
- Design and roll out self-healing automation, including locator recovery, DOM similarity scoring, element fingerprinting, and confidence-based fallback.
- Apply LLMs to test generation, manual-test conversion, failure summarization, root-cause suggestions, and test tooling.
- Implement flaky-test detection, failure classification, auto-quarantine, and risk-based test selection.
- Own CI/CD quality gates and report quality metrics to engineering and product leadership.
- Partner with development, product, support, and sustenance teams to reduce escaped and customer-reported defects.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience in QA or test engineering.
- At least 2 years of experience leading or mentoring a QA team.
- Demonstrated experience building automation frameworks from scratch and owning release quality for a SaaS product.
- Hands-on experience building, extending, or productionizing an AI-based or self-healing automation solution and measuring its impact.
- Strong Java and JavaScript/TypeScript programming skills, with Python as a plus.
- Experience with UI automation, API automation, contract testing, service virtualization, mocking, performance testing, visual regression, and accessibility testing.
- Experience validating SQL and PostgreSQL data across ingestion, normalization, persistence, aggregation, and UI flows.
- Familiarity with microservices, Spring Boot, Kafka or other event-streaming systems, CI/CD tooling, Docker, Kubernetes, test management, and observability tools.
- Experience with self-healing locator strategies, ML-based element matching, LLM integration, prompt design, structured outputs, AI-assisted test generation, failure clustering, and log or trace summarization.
- Experience with RAG or vector search over test artifacts is a plus.
- Preferred qualifications include cybersecurity experience, multi-tenant SaaS testing at large data volumes, ISTQB Advanced or Test Manager certification, and open-source testing or automation contributions.
