Responsibilities
- Serve as technical lead and own the architecture and direction of services, internal tools, and data systems.
- Design and build backend services and API integrations that ingest engineering, tooling, and cost signals from multiple source systems.
- Develop reporting and analytics tools for engineering health, AI and tooling spend and ROI, cost, and capitalization.
- Drive significant projects from design through rollout in partnership with the Product Owner and other stakeholders.
- Own quality, reliability, monitoring, automated testing, and production support for business-critical systems.
- Mentor less experienced engineers through design reviews, feedback, and agent-assisted engineering practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience designing, building, and operating production full-stack systems, including data-intensive systems that automate manual operational processes.
- Experience driving significant projects from design to rollout with strong technical and business understanding and collaboration with non-engineering stakeholders.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python, Kotlin, or TypeScript.
- Hands-on use of agentic engineering as a core part of the work process.
- Strong backend, API integration, SQL, and data modeling skills.
- Proficiency with a modern web front-end stack sufficient to prototype visualizations and review front-end work.
- Experience owning the full lifecycle of shipped software, from design reviews through automated testing, monitoring, and production support.
