Responsibilities
- Design and develop client connectivity platforms and best-in-class connectivity solutions.
- Build low-latency solutions using the Java stack and HFT frameworks.
- Deliver prioritized connectivity streams of work end to end, from requirements understanding through implementation.
- Apply coding, testing, debugging, and implementation standards.
- Collaborate with business, development, QA, infrastructure, production support, and technical business users.
- Troubleshoot issues and provide ongoing support after implementation while delivering enhancements and additional phases.
- Work as part of a global development team and leverage global tools and technologies.
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant experience with low-latency Java development.
- Knowledge of the Java stack and experience building ultra-low-latency platforms.
- Experience developing client connectivity applications.
- Good understanding of electronic trading, financial markets, and trading environments.
- Experience with FIX and binary protocols.
- Core Java, Unix/Linux, and Bitbucket skills.
- Experience with microservices architecture, Open HFT, and Chronicle is preferred.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD, plus strong analytical and communication skills.
