Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end cloud architecture for large-scale distributed systems on AWS.
- Design microservices-based, API-driven, and event-driven architectures.
- Develop backend services in Node.js and build and maintain REST APIs and microservices.
- Contribute 60–70% of the time to hands-on development and delivery of cloud-native solutions.
- Establish reference architectures, design patterns, architecture standards, governance frameworks, monitoring strategies, and cost-optimization practices.
- Write maintainable and testable code, conduct code reviews, and promote TDD, automated testing, and CI/CD practices.
- Implement scalable, reliable, secure, highly available, and cost-efficient cloud solutions.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to engineering teams.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, architecture, and DevOps teams to deliver production-grade cloud platforms.
Requirements
- 10–15+ years of software engineering experience, including 6–10+ years of hands-on AWS architecture and development expertise.
- Strong experience with AWS, Node.js, microservices, REST APIs, distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, and event-driven design.
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver scalable, secure, highly available, enterprise-grade cloud solutions.
- Experience designing, developing, and deploying backend services, microservices, and RESTful APIs on AWS.
- Experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, EC2, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, EKS, ECR, IoT Core, CloudWatch, and Bedrock.
- Experience with CI/CD, Kubernetes/EKS, containerization, observability, monitoring, and DevOps integration.
- Experience implementing IAM, encryption, compliance controls, network security, and other secure cloud practices.
- Experience with IoT platforms, connected devices, AWS Bedrock, generative AI/LLM applications, and performance optimization is highly desirable.
- Strong hands-on engineering ability with technical leadership, architecture, development, and deployment experience.
