Responsibilities
- Develop systems that capture and expose detailed gameplay data for AI capabilities.
- Build high-performance systems that collect and process large volumes of data without affecting gameplay.
- Develop services, APIs, SDKs, and shared technology across game engines, consoles, and cloud services.
- Investigate technical challenges involving complex game systems and evolving data-capture requirements.
- Own technical solutions from design and decision-making through delivery.
- Collaborate with game developers, platform engineers, and AI teams across EA.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of professional software development experience designing, building, and maintaining production software.
- Experience with game engines, game clients, or other real-time software.
- Understanding of APIs, software architecture, and communication between systems.
- Experience investigating and resolving complex technical problems.
- Experience using AI coding agents for writing, debugging, testing, and maintaining code.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across engineering teams.
- Strong C++ programming and debugging skills are preferred.
- Preferred experience includes Frostbite, Unreal Engine, Unity, custom game engines, SDKs, engine plugins, shared libraries, cloud services, APIs, data pipelines, gameplay recording, telemetry, replay systems, consoles, gaming platforms, AI systems, and multiplayer client/server networking.
