Responsibilities
- Design, provision, maintain, and optimize production AWS infrastructure using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Manage multi-cluster Kubernetes environments, including EKS upgrades, scaling, network policies, and security hardening.
- Administer AWS services including RDS, ElastiCache, MSK, S3, CloudFront, Route 53, and VPC networking.
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and automate provisioning, patching, scaling, and incident runbook tasks.
- Implement GitOps delivery with ArgoCD or Flux and maintain Helm charts and Kustomize overlays.
- Define and track SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets while operating observability platforms.
- Lead incident response, on-call participation, post-incident reviews, remediation tracking, chaos engineering experiments, and game days.
- Enforce platform security practices involving IAM, secrets management, container image scanning, vulnerability management, and patching.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering.
- Production-scale Kubernetes management experience, with EKS strongly preferred.
- Deep AWS knowledge across compute, networking, storage, and managed databases.
- Proficiency with at least one infrastructure-as-code tool: Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
- Scripting ability in Python, Bash, or Go.
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional or AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification is preferred.
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator or Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist certification is preferred.
- Experience with Istio or Linkerd, multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments, and AI/ML or data-intensive Kubernetes workloads is preferred.
