Base Salary
$138k - $171k/yr
Responsibilities
- Enhance Akamai platform core services supporting data collection, processing, telemetry, delivery, and visualization.
- Design and implement highly available, scalable, performant, and highly concurrent software solutions.
- Build, integrate, support, and improve data streaming services on the Akamai Platform.
- Develop full-stack software spanning frontend UI/API components and backend infrastructure.
- Profile, analyze, and optimize CPU, memory, and I/O usage for low-latency, high-throughput systems.
- Work with multi-tier engineering support teams to troubleshoot complex distributed network problems.
- Focus projects on system security, scalability, performance, and above 99% completeness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in a listed computing, engineering, information systems, IT, or telecommunications field.
- Three years of experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering role.
- Three years of experience with frontend programming, Angular, JUnit test cases, Liferay, Spring, Spring Boot, Java, JavaScript, SQL, MongoDB, NodeJS, Tomcat, AWS including EC2 and ECS, Docker, Kubernetes, Jira, and Jenkins.
- Experience developing with object-oriented programming and working with APIs.
