Responsibilities
- Create and manage production and non-production cloud environments for projects and products.
- Deploy automation pipelines and automate environment provisioning and configuration.
- Lead implementation of automation strategies and resolve complex platform and environment issues.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, manage team activities, and contribute to decisions across multiple teams.
- Coordinate cross-functional platform integration and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and mentoring within the team.
- Provide L3 support for platform and environment issues.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in mainframe modernization.
- 15 years of full-time education.
- Experience setting up and managing cloud infrastructure for mainframe environments.
- Strong understanding of automation tools, scripting, configuration management, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in COBOL, batch/JCL, online/CICS, DB2 SQL, and online and batch program design and implementation.
- Knowledge of GitLab, testing methodologies including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, and test automation.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex platform and environment issues.
- Knowledge of cloud and platform engineering security best practices.
- Experience with Agile methodology.
