Base Salary
$73k - $174k/yr
Responsibilities
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle for embedded software operating on unmanned robotic vehicles.
- Develop features for embedded applications using C and C++.
- Diagnose and correct reported defects and support fielded systems.
- Participate in systems engineering and software integration.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and system simulation.
- Continuously refactor code and apply design patterns, SOLID principles, and design-for-reuse practices.
- Use distributed version control systems.
- Travel 0–15% may be required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of professional experience designing and implementing embedded, real-time software systems using C/C++ for embedded processors.
- Familiarity with large multithreaded embedded applications running on an RTOS.
- Familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Master's degree and senior software engineering experience are preferred.
- Desirable experience includes embedded device drivers, unmanned vehicle systems, flash programming tools, TCP, UDP, CAN, SPI, RS232, ROS/ROS2, GPS, LIDAR, RADAR, and ultra-sonic sensors.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
