Base Salary
$170k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain customer-facing product experiences using React and TypeScript.
- Develop and maintain Python/Django APIs, data models, platform services, and a robust data platform.
- Build low-latency, scalable developer-facing APIs supporting hundreds of millions of transactions.
- Collaborate on technical vision and improve engineering practices and processes.
- Debug production issues across the technology stack.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to deliver customer value.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience building and shipping production systems.
- Strong experience with Python, Django, React, and TypeScript.
- Experience with API development, SQL, and modern frontend frameworks and technologies.
- Experience building customer-facing systems from scratch, making trade-offs, and working autonomously in early-stage environments.
- Product mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to navigate ambiguity.
- Based in NYC with ability to work from the Flatiron office at least 2 days per week.
- Preferred experience with Aurora RDS Postgres, AWS CDK, transaction, merchant, or location data, fintech or data products, and performant SQL query analysis.
