Responsibilities
- Own CI/CD infrastructure and identify improvements that accelerate engineering velocity.
- Partner with developers to remove build and deployment friction.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines at scale and build solutions that support organizational growth.
- Automate releases and deployments using cloud, containerization, infrastructure-as-code, and GitOps tools.
- Respond to incidents and diagnose and triage build failures.
- Create clear, maintainable documentation for systems and processes.
- Mentor junior team members and improve team capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 8+ years of total professional experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in build and release engineering roles.
- Advanced proficiency with Jenkins Declarative and Scripted Pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with Maven and Gradle and strong scripting knowledge.
- Expert-level proficiency with Bash and Groovy.
- Strong GitHub experience and proficiency with Git workflows, branching strategies, merge management, and pull request review.
- Experience integrating AI/ML agents into CI/CD workflows and using GitHub Copilot for code generation and automation scripting.
- Familiarity with Claude.ai or similar large language models for documentation and problem-solving.
- Hands-on experience with AWS or other public cloud platforms, including Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
- Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD, and Flux.
- Experience with artifact repositories such as Artifactory and Nexus.
- Knowledge of release automation, deployment strategies, incident response, build failure triage, and Linux command-line operations.
- Strong communication, collaboration, documentation, problem-solving, follow-through, mentoring, and async communication skills.
