Base Salary
$219k - $301k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and lead end-to-end delivery of Meta Compute’s cloud-native host networking platform from design through production rollout.
- Build and modernize Kubernetes networking features integrated with Meta’s host networking stack, including dataplane integration, operability, and scaling.
- Design and implement network virtualization, load balancing and service connectivity, and distributed firewalling and policy enforcement primitives.
- Define milestones, de-risk technical decisions, and deliver iterative production increments.
- Align compute, storage, platform, security, hardware, and fabric partners around technical interfaces, contracts, and outcomes.
- Evaluate and contribute to open-source networking building blocks and ensure maintainable, operable systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 10 years of software development experience in networking or infrastructure systems, or a PhD with at least 4 years of relevant technical experience.
- At least 4 years of experience designing and shipping production networking dataplane or control-plane systems.
- Hands-on production experience with Kubernetes networking, including CNI, Services, NetworkPolicy or policy models, and service connectivity or load-balancing integration.
- Proficiency in C or C++ and at least one scripting language, such as Python or Shell Scripting.
- Experience developing and automating test suites.
- Demonstrated ability to work across disciplines and align technical decisions for integrated solutions.
- Preferred experience with hardware and ASIC design teams, hardware specifications, hardware-software interfaces, and silicon feature development.
- Preferred experience with DPU SoC or SmartNIC platforms, high-performance networking, Kubernetes operators or controllers, hardware device plugins, Linux networking internals, kernel driver development, or hyperscale and cloud-provider environments.
Benefits
- Annual base salary of $219,000/year to $301,000/year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
