Responsibilities
- Design and build systems for audiobook ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
- Contribute across the stack, including backend services and APIs.
- Collaborate with engineers, PMs, and designers to create reliable systems.
- Take operational responsibility for the services you build.
- Adapt to evolving needs by stepping into various technical areas.
- Author and review RFCs to influence technical decisions.
- Mentor peers and contribute to an inclusive engineering culture.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, especially in backend systems.
- Proficiency in Spotify's backend tech stack (Java/gRPC/GCP).
- Willingness to work across the stack and learn new technologies.
- Commitment to clean, maintainable, and testable code.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
- Demonstrated curiosity about the business domain and audiobook ecosystem.
- Collaborative and growth-minded attitude.
