Responsibilities
- Develop video streaming, web service, data management, and other backend application components in C++.
- Design and deliver high-quality, reusable, standardized code for features and system components.
- Participate in feature design and balance business requirements with technology requirements.
- Find root causes of defects and support quality engineering for scalable web applications.
- Provide feature-area time and resource estimates and identify risks and mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with senior developers within the company's Agile software development process.
Requirements
- At least a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- At least two years of professional C++ development experience.
- Expertise in C++11 or newer and familiarity with Linux or Windows systems programming and Boost.
- Background in object-oriented design, web service programming, and scalable web applications.
- Familiarity with unit testing, test-driven development, and Linux development tools and environments.
- Experience with GStreamer, TCP, UDP, unicast or multicast networking, code samples, or open-source contributions is preferred.
