Responsibilities
- Develop web services and enterprise back-end components for browser-based surveillance video management systems.
- Write high-quality, well-designed application code for features and system components.
- Participate in feature design and balance business and technology requirements.
- Deliver scheduled code that adheres to design and coding standards.
- Find root causes of defects and promote code reuse and standardization.
- Provide time and resource estimates, and identify risks and mitigation strategies.
- Participate in the software development process with other senior developers.
Requirements
- Expertise in Java 8 or later.
- Familiarity with Gradle, Jersey, SQL, jOOQ, and JNI.
- Background in object-oriented design and development.
- Experience designing and developing REST web services.
- Experience with unit testing, test-driven development, scalable web applications, and Linux environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical/computer engineering, or a related discipline.
- Master’s degree or Ph.D., code samples or a design portfolio, Jenkins and SonarQube experience, and open-source contributions are preferred or advantageous.
