Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, adapt, extend, and improve machine learning runtime technologies.
  • Design and implement new runtime ML solutions when needed.
  • Apply and scale ML models and architectures for on-device performance.
  • Build end-to-end solutions for running ML models across multiple device types.
  • Write clean, documented, tested code that integrates with existing systems.
  • Profile and optimize real-time software.
  • Translate ML concepts, tradeoffs, risks, and constraints for different audiences.
  • Monitor developments in deep learning, reinforcement learning, and generative AI and identify relevant applications.
  • Collaborate with EA ML, game, engineering, and research teams.
  • Share knowledge, contribute to ML/AI communities, and mentor teammates.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with C++, including multithreading and performance optimization.
  • Experience profiling and optimizing real-time software.
  • Experience with software engineering practices including version control, code reviews, documentation, automated testing, coding standards, CI/CD, issue tracking, and Agile development.
  • Knowledge of ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Experience building and shipping end-to-end ML systems in real-world production environments.
  • BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Knowledge of GPU programming.
  • Experience with game programming.
  • Knowledge of ONNX or other intermediate representations for ML model graphs.
