Senior Lead Software Engineer, Python Developer, Equities Technology - Prime Services

- Write high-quality Python or Java code for front-office technology systems.
- Collaborate with traders and quantitative researchers to improve trading and execution workflows.
- Translate business and quantitative requirements into scalable architectures and implementation roadmaps.
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, review, and debug secure production software.
- Lead adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted software development and automation tools.
- Establish validation standards for AI-assisted outputs, including correctness, performance, secure coding, peer review, and automated testing.
- Identify and automate recurring remediation opportunities to improve application and system stability.
- Lead software engineering communities of practice and promote reusable patterns and automation across the SDLC/TLM toolchain.
Requirements
- Formal software engineering training or certification and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- In-depth knowledge of capital markets and equity market microstructure.
- Strong understanding of electronic trading workflows, including pre-trade analytics, signal generation, execution algorithms, and post-trade analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Python or Java and experience with large-scale event-driven systems.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience leading enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and validating AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Preferred experience in quantitative trading or market analysis.
- Familiarity with KDB/q, FIX, market data, order management systems, SecDB, Athena, Quartz, Kafka, or AMPS.
