Base Salary
$209k - $239k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Design and implement large-scale, distributed, cloud-native systems with high reliability and performance requirements.
- Provide technical leadership across multiple teams and shape system architecture and long-term technology direction.
- Partner with architects and product leaders to define platform roadmaps and shared-services strategy.
- Build cloud-based solutions and developer tooling for the Developer Experience organization.
- Mentor engineers, support professional development, and contribute to internal and external technology communities.
- Lead architectural design reviews, establish coding standards and design patterns, and influence enterprise-wide technical strategy.
- Implement observability and reliability practices and use observability to optimize distributed-system performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 3 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred: master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Preferred: 9+ years coding with more than two listed programming languages and 5+ years with open source frameworks, front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, or synchronous and asynchronous APIs.
- Preferred: 4+ years with databases, cloud technologies, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing frameworks, Git-based version control, or cloud troubleshooting.
- Preferred: experience mentoring senior engineers, leading architectural reviews, establishing coding standards, implementing observability and reliability at scale, and leading large-scale technical initiatives.
- Preferred: experience with modern AI-based coding tools, interactive AI tooling, and influencing technology strategy at the portfolio or business-unit level.
