Base Salary
$205k - $275k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and own the technical architecture for the Onsite Growth platform, including services, APIs, and shared infrastructure
- Lead cross-functional technical strategy and drive complex, ambiguous problems from alignment through production
- Identify and resolve reliability gaps, scalability limits, and architectural debt before they block the business
- Build scalable backend services, APIs, and user-facing product capabilities for onsite growth
- Improve observability, resiliency, and performance for fast and reliable onsite experiences
- Mentor and develop engineers through technical feedback, sponsorship, and coaching
- Contribute to engineering culture through technical leadership and customer-focused execution
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience leading complex systems at scale
- Demonstrated staff-level impact through architectural decisions affecting a product area or platform
- Deep proficiency in at least one modern programming language, such as Java or TypeScript
- Experience designing distributed systems, APIs, and microservices, with strong understanding of reliability, scalability, and performance
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and modern developer tooling, including AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, relational databases, caching, queues, and streaming
- Strong technical communication, including writing RFCs, leading design reviews, and explaining complex tradeoffs
- History of developing engineers through mentorship, code review, and raising engineering standards
- Strong collaboration skills and interest in building products that drive customer growth
