Advanced Engineer: ML, LLM, NLP, RAG
HARMAN InternationalResponsibilities
- Lead end-to-end development and production delivery of AI-enabled tools for systems engineering, software engineering, testing, and validation.
- Develop and fine-tune transformer-based models for classification, similarity, automation, and engineering workflows.
- Build RAG pipelines, copilots, and assistants using vector databases, prompt engineering, evaluation, and safety guardrails.
- Containerize and deploy AI services using Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Establish MLOps capabilities including experiment tracking, model registries, versioning, ML CI/CD, monitoring, drift detection, and observability.
- Lead and mentor a team of approximately five engineers through planning, technical execution, code reviews, and delivery ownership.
- Coordinate global stakeholders, manage priorities, and improve adoption through measurable productivity and quality outcomes.
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on AI/ML engineering experience with production deployments.
- Strong experience with large-scale product SDLC environments and AI-enabled tooling or platforms used by engineers.
- Advanced Python skills and experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Experience with NLP, LLMs, HuggingFace Transformers, orchestration frameworks, prompt engineering, RAG, and vector databases such as FAISS or Pinecone.
- Experience with multimodal ML, including audio processing, image processing, multimodal embeddings, and retrieval.
- Experience with Docker, Git, Linux, cloud platforms, Kubernetes, monitoring, and observability.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, AI, data science, or a related field.
- Automotive or embedded systems experience is preferred, particularly in car audio.
- Preferred experience includes automotive audio ML, multimodal LLMs or VLMs, inference optimization, MLflow, ASPICE, ISO 26262, traceability, and verification evidence automation.
- Professional working proficiency in English is required.
