Responsibilities
- Integrate Bose audio technologies, algorithms, and tuning configurations into customer hardware and software platforms.
- Develop, customize, and maintain software components for technology deployment.
- Support technology bring-up, platform enablement, system integration, validation, and production readiness.
- Validate software functionality, audio performance, system stability, and production quality across target platforms.
- Provide customers with technical guidance on architecture, software integration, debugging, tuning, validation, and performance optimization.
- Perform root-cause analysis and corrective actions for software and system-level issues.
- Collaborate with DSP, acoustic, system, product, and global engineering teams.
- Evaluate third-party hardware, software, and platform technologies for compatibility with Bose solutions.
- Contribute to integration best practices, development processes, technical documentation, and deployment improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field; a master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in embedded software development, audio technologies, or related engineering disciplines.
- Strong experience in embedded software or firmware development and proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
- Experience with RTOS, embedded Linux, Linux audio frameworks such as ALSA and ASoC, and embedded platforms including ARM-based processors, RISC-V architectures, or Bluetooth SoCs.
- Experience integrating software across complex hardware and software systems, with strong debugging and systematic root-cause analysis skills.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle, version control, build systems, and release management.
- Experience with audio systems, audio signal processing, consumer electronics, Bluetooth audio, acoustics, electroacoustics, microphones, loudspeakers, and audio measurement methods.
- Experience evaluating, integrating, and benchmarking third-party software and hardware solutions.
- Preferred experience with Android, Windows Audio, multimedia platforms, machine learning or AI-based audio technologies, DSP algorithms, Java, C#, MATLAB, and multi-platform customer deployments.
- Strong technical and customer-facing communication skills and the ability to collaborate across global, cross-functional teams.
- Customer-facing integration, deployment, or product commercialization experience is highly desirable.
