Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications and microservices.
- Write clean, maintainable, testable Java code and contribute to hands-on coding, code reviews, and refactoring.
- Apply unit testing, Test-Driven Development, Behavior-Driven Development, and automation-first practices.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, DevOps teams, and cross-functional teams on scalable distributed systems and production resilience.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement secure coding practices and security standards.
- Contribute to deployments, observability, continuous monitoring, and production reliability.
- Mentor junior engineers, lead technical discussions, and contribute to design documentation.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of relevant experience is listed as a must-have requirement; the posting also lists 3–5 years of Fullstack Java Enterprise experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java; working knowledge of C++ is preferred.
- Deep expertise in system design and microservices architecture.
- Experience with trunk-based development, feature flags, progressive delivery, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
- Proficiency in Test-Driven Development, Behavior-Driven Development, automation, and high test coverage.
- Experience with code reviews, vulnerability assessments, and secure coding.
- Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and ability to work in fast-paced agile environments.
- Preferred qualifications include event-driven architecture, distributed systems, performance tuning, observability, and production monitoring.
- Proficient English is required; Japanese is a plus.
