Base Salary
$251k - $310k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build, lead, and contribute to ML data infrastructure and data-store ecosystems supporting Waymo’s planet-scale ML Flywheel.
- Partner with onboard and offboard foundation-model teams to understand data requirements, distributions, quality, value, and freshness.
- Onboard modeling teams to the centralized data store and guide development and adoption of infrastructure components.
- Lead, mentor, and guide engineers working on complex, highly collaborative infrastructure projects.
- Develop or support scalable data, model-hosting, and bulk and online inference systems.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Experience technically leading projects with substantial cross-team collaboration.
- Experience technically leading engineering teams on complex projects.
- Experience programming in C++.
- Experience building highly scalable distributed systems.
- Experience with ML data and ML Flywheels.
