Responsibilities
- Build high-throughput services that inspect live traffic and terminate and analyze TLS in the data path.
- Own capabilities from concept through design, implementation, production release, operation, and ongoing reliability.
- Set technical direction for a functional area, make key engineering decisions, and lead other engineers through technical influence.
- Meet latency and reliability targets, instrument systems for verification, and harden them against real-world load and failure.
- Develop both backend services and front-end applications for real users and production infrastructure.
Requirements
- 5–7+ years building and operating production services and front ends, with end-to-end ownership experience.
- Demonstrable proficiency using AI tools and agents to design, build, and ship software is required.
- Hands-on experience with TLS/MITM inspection and security-sensitive live-traffic edge cases.
- Experience reducing tail latency in streaming and distributed systems under production load, supported by observability.
- Strong command of Go, Rust, or TypeScript/Node, plus React/TypeScript.
- Deep working knowledge of HTTP, TLS, gRPC/REST, and asynchronous or streaming I/O.

About OPSWAT
OPSWAT protects critical infrastructure. Our goal is to eliminate malware and zero-day attacks. We believe that every file and every device pose a threat. Threats must be addressed at all locations at all times—at entry, at exit, and at rest. Our products focus on threat prevention and process creation for secure data transfer and safe device access. The result is productive systems that minimize risk of compromise. That’s why 98% of U.S. nuclear power facilities trust OPSWAT for cybersecurity and compliance. OPSWAT. Trust no file.
