Base Salary
$197k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Modernize complex legacy systems and data into a robust modern core and deliver new management capabilities.
- Build and collaborate on robust cloud-based solutions using full-stack programming, databases, containers, and AWS services.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams by establishing standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks with architects.
- Identify improvement opportunities, refactor systems, reduce technical debt, and improve distributed-system performance.
- Mentor engineers, participate in technology communities, and influence long-term technology strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field is required.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience is required; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies is required.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, 7+ years coding in multiple listed languages, database and cloud experience, open-source contributions, frontend framework experience, API development, automated testing, version control, cloud troubleshooting, observability, mentoring, and technical initiative leadership.
- Experience with modern AI-based coding tools, IDE copilots, and interactive AI tooling is preferred.
- Experience establishing coding standards and design patterns across teams is preferred.
