Base Salary
$114k - $213k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, architect, develop, integrate, administer, and test embedded and real-time software for Link-16 and tactical data link systems.
- Develop and debug low-level firmware and software in complex real-time, multithreaded embedded applications.
- Analyze system capabilities and resolve issues involving program intent, requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
- Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Digital Engineering, Hardware, and Integration & Test teams.
- Test and troubleshoot tactical data link waveforms and use tactical data link radios, terminals, and other laboratory equipment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or another STEM discipline with 5 years of related experience, a master's degree with 3 years, or a PhD with 1 year for the Principal level.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or another STEM discipline with 8 years of related experience, a master's degree with 6 years, or a PhD with 4 years for the Senior Principal level.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and object-oriented programming, plus experience across the formal software lifecycle from requirements through testing.
- Experience with embedded real-time systems, low-level firmware integration, multithreaded applications, tactical data link development, software-defined radios, and Link 16 or TACAN waveform standards.
- Familiarity with static analysis, unit testing, CORBA, SCA, and Jira, Bitbucket, and Git.
- Preferred experience includes Link 16 waveform testing, Avionics Operating System, Xilinx platforms and tools, Yocto/PetaLinux, communications protocols, TCP/IP, cryptographic libraries, Rust, Linux kernel drivers, assembly, bare-metal drivers, PowerPC, IBM engineering tools, Green Hills AdaMulti, MIL-STD-6016, HAIPE, OTNK, and IKE.
- Must be able to obtain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance and work full-time onsite at the Rancho Carmel location.
