Responsibilities
- Own scalable and reliable backend systems for the Admin Workflows team
- Build content integrations that ingest source material from customers’ existing systems
- Develop the agent framework powering AI-first roleplays
- Build content creation workflows central to the admin experience
- Contribute to AI-powered analysis, analytics, feedback, and skills intelligence for measuring learner improvement
- Set technical direction, improve system design and code quality, and mentor other engineers
- Architect secure, maintainable, customer-focused solutions for enterprise-scale use cases
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional development experience shipping and operating production systems
- Deep experience architecting and owning backend services end-to-end and setting technical direction
- Track record designing scalable distributed systems and APIs and raising engineering quality through mentorship and technical leadership
- Experience with cloud infrastructure such as GCP, AWS, or Azure and Infrastructure as Code
- Proficiency in TypeScript or Python and ability to debug complex distributed systems
- Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration with engineering and product teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Experience with LLMs, generative AI, AI-powered applications, speech/audio processing technologies, NoSQL databases, Kubernetes, or Google Cloud Platform is a plus
- Must be based in the Greater Seattle Area for a hybrid role with three office days per week
