Responsibilities
- Work directly with clients to understand business requirements, identify quality risks, and develop testing strategies.
- Design, execute, and maintain manual test plans, test cases, and test scenarios across web, mobile, API, and integrated software systems.
- Develop and maintain automated test suites using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, Postman, REST Assured, or comparable tools.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, exploratory, and acceptance testing throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and communicate defects; partner with engineers to investigate root causes and validate fixes.
- Build scalable automation that improves test coverage, shortens feedback cycles, and reduces repetitive manual testing.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
- Validate APIs, data integrations, and backend systems using appropriate testing strategies.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and client stakeholders to establish acceptance criteria and advocate for quality.
- Adapt testing strategies across multiple clients, industries, technical stacks, and business environments.
Requirements
- Strong experience designing and executing manual testing strategies, including functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.
- Hands-on experience developing and maintaining automated tests with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or comparable tools and frameworks.
- Experience testing APIs and integrated systems and working with SQL, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Python, or C#.
- Ability to identify risks, investigate defects, troubleshoot complex issues, and balance manual and automated testing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for explaining quality risks, defects, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze complex systems and requirements and develop practical approaches to software quality.
- Interest in consulting and ability to collaborate with clients and cross-functional technical teams.
