Base Salary
$165k - $277k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and extend test-sequencing software, measurement methods, sequencer logic, and instrument drivers across the electro-optical test fleet.
- Design automated electrical, optical, and electro-optical measurement methods, including spectrum sweeps, IV sweeps, and optical alignment.
- Build and maintain SCPI/VISA-based instrument-control layers for laboratory and production instrumentation.
- Diagnose fleet-wide sequencing, throughput, alignment, movement, and timing issues using logs, dashboards, and measurement data.
- Design failure handling that clearly surfaces hardware and measurement failures.
- Partner with the hardware test automation team to convert new test-station designs into automated test and calibration procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field plus 8+ years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree plus 6+ years, or a PhD plus 3+ years.
- Strong Python skills, including asynchronous programming.
- Hands-on experience building automated test and measurement software with SCPI, VISA, or GPIB instrument control.
- Working knowledge of electrical, optical, or electro-optical measurement concepts.
- Experience debugging distributed or fleet-scale systems.
- Ability to work at the boundary between software and hardware.
- Experience with photonics, quantum hardware, semiconductor testing, or wafer-level testing.
- Familiarity with test data platforms and pipelines.
