Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Windows InstallShield MSI and Linux/Unix InstallAnywhere installer projects.
- Design and maintain VBScript, JScript, and Java custom actions with privilege handling, rollback logic, service registration, and file manipulation.
- Implement gMSA support, silent response-file deployments, property-file migration, and reliable multi-digit version comparisons.
- Integrate JDBC-based database connectivity and schema deployment across Oracle, Azure SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and PostgreSQL environments.
- Maintain Gradle multi-module build logic, Mutagen staging workflows, and GitHub Actions or Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
- Use Docker-based database containers and automated integration testing to validate installer behavior and upgrades.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on enterprise software packaging, installation engineering, and installer validation experience across Windows and Linux environments.
- Advanced Revenera InstallShield and Windows Installer knowledge, including MSI tables, sequence tables, custom action execution contexts, and rollback.
- Hands-on Revenera InstallAnywhere experience, including Java custom actions, panel rules, and response-file handling.
- Strong proficiency in VBScript, PowerShell, Bash, and/or Python, plus Java runtime configuration, JAR packaging, and JDBC connectivity.
- Practical knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Oracle Database, including DDL, permissions, tablespaces, and PDBs.
- Understanding of Windows service logons, Active Directory user rights, gMSA, and ACL permissions.
- Experience with Gradle using Kotlin or Groovy DSL, Git, and CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
- Preferred experience with CyberArk PAM, OAuth2, PKI certificate management, and Docker-based integration testing databases.
