Base Salary
$169k - $216k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop reliable C++ flight software for bare-metal, RTOS, or Linux-based embedded processors.
- Define spacecraft, satellite bus, and reentry capsule behavior throughout complete missions.
- Own software design, development, testing, integration, verification, and validation.
- Scope projects, capture requirements, and perform initial design trades for open-ended problems.
- Support flight operations and collaborate with the team to solve technical problems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, or equivalent technical experience in safety-critical software.
- At least 5 years of experience developing spacecraft or similar safety-critical software.
- Strong C++ development experience and understanding of C++ language concepts.
- Preferred: end-to-end spacecraft development and launch experience; real-time embedded systems; aerospace safety-critical software; CCSDS telemetry and telecommand; F' or cFS; Python or Rust; analog and digital electronics; and SPI, I2C, CAN, or EtherCAT.
