Base Salary
$221k - $255k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain audio processing and streaming features for the web client.
- Integrate audio functionality with web services and other product features.
- Optimize audio for low latency, high fidelity, and efficiency across browsers and devices.
- Implement audio effects, noise suppression, echo cancellation, and other DSP techniques.
- Debug and resolve audio-related issues identified through testing or reported by users.
- Write clean, maintainable, and documented code; participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing.
- Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Digital Signal Processing, Software Engineering, a related field, or a foreign equivalent.
- Four years of experience in the offered role or a related occupation.
- Four years of software engineering experience focused on audio applications, preferably in a web environment.
- Four years of experience with JavaScript, the Web Audio API, C++ with WebAssembly, audio signal processing, codecs, audio formats, real-time audio processing, streaming protocols, cross-browser development and debugging, WebRTC, and real-time communication applications.
- Four years of experience with front-end frameworks such as React or Angular.
