Responsibilities
- Provide technical direction, architectural oversight, and governance across multiple engineering squads.
- Coach and mentor mid-level and senior engineers through code reviews, technical deep-dives, and career development.
- Translate strategic business requirements into technical roadmaps in partnership with business leaders, product managers, and cross-functional teams.
- Architect, prototype, and build production AI/ML and LLM applications using Python, Java, LangChain, LlamaIndex, and Google Vertex AI services.
- Design high-throughput, fault-tolerant event-driven systems and data pipelines using Apache Kafka and Apache Flink.
- Build resilient, low-latency microservices and API gateways with FastAPI, Flask, or Spring Boot, using PostgreSQL and Redis.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications on Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift with Helm and deployment automation.
- Embed automated testing, code quality, security scanning, and DevSecOps practices across engineering lifecycles and pipelines.
- Shape technical direction, engineering standards, and culture for Wealth Technology AI teams.
Requirements
- 12+ years of progressive software engineering and architecture experience with technical leadership and team mentorship.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Deep hands-on proficiency in Python and/or Java, plus strong SQL and database design skills.
- Experience architecting and delivering AI/ML and LLM-driven applications, including RAG, prompt engineering, chunking strategies, and orchestration frameworks.
- Strong expertise designing distributed, event-driven architectures using platforms such as Apache Kafka or Apache Flink.
- Experience with Kubernetes or Red Hat OpenShift, AWS or GCP, and Helm chart management.
- Strong foundation in relational database architecture and caching or in-memory technologies such as PostgreSQL and Redis.
- Experience leading engineering teams, making architectural decisions, conducting technical design reviews, and promoting engineering excellence.
- Preferred experience with Devin, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent AI-assisted development tools.
- Preferred familiarity with React, Next.js, Angular, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Google ADK, CrewAI, AutoGen, LangGraph, Apache Airflow, AutoSys, Prometheus, Grafana, AppDynamics, and Splunk.
- Commitment to clean, maintainable, reusable software and ownership of delivered outcomes.
