Senior Software Engineer

- Design, build, and maintain production software systems and user-facing features.
- Develop primarily in JavaScript and maintain components and services across modern web architectures.
- Collaborate with designers to implement functional, accessible, and visually polished interfaces.
- Develop server-side logic and APIs and integrate frontend elements with backend systems.
- Optimize software for performance, scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability.
- Participate in code and architecture reviews and promote engineering best practices.
- Progress solutions from proof of concept through production release.
- Integrate third-party libraries and services responsibly and securely.
- Identify and address security, performance, and quality risks early.
- Communicate across teams and contribute to technical alignment and delivery.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience building and maintaining production software systems.
- At least 4 years of experience with JavaScript, including modern ES6+ and asynchronous patterns.
- Experience designing and implementing APIs and web applications.
- Understanding of performance optimization, security, and system design principles.
- Experience with performance monitoring and analytics tools such as Datadog or New Relic.
- Hands-on familiarity with both client-side and server-side development.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Strong collaboration, communication, ownership, accountability, and technical problem-solving skills.
- Preferred experience with CMS platforms, Handlebars, AWS-based CI/CD pipelines, Python, Vue, Svelte, React, authorization, identity, payment or subscription APIs, and A/B testing or experimentation platforms.
