Base Salary
$115k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and test or perform QA on software applications or operating systems.
- Build enhancements within existing software architectures and recommend architecture improvements.
- Design, develop, and operate large-scale distributed production systems with high availability and scalability.
- Develop cloud-based, multi-tenant, highly available cloud-native applications and microservices.
- Implement secure software systems covering authentication, authorization, identity management, and role-based access control.
- Design scalable real-time or near-real-time data processing pipelines.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and observability for large-scale production systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field followed by seven years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the offered job or a related Software Developer occupation.
- At least six years of experience designing, developing, and operating large-scale distributed production systems with 1,000 or more server instances.
- Programming experience in Java, Python, C, C++, or Go with object-oriented design and development.
- Experience delivering products through the full software development lifecycle in Linux systems.
- Knowledge of distributed systems architecture, including fault tolerance, data consistency, state management, and asynchronous processing.
- Experience designing and developing cloud-based services using AWS, Azure, GCP, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- Experience with relational databases, SQL, NoSQL or distributed data stores, and Redis or Memcache caching technologies.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservice architecture.
- Experience implementing authentication, authorization, identity management, OAuth, SAML, JWT, and RBAC.
- Experience with scalable data processing systems using Kafka, Kinesis, or other cloud-based data services.
- Experience with CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana for production monitoring, logging, and observability.
