Base Salary
$187k - $229k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of full-stack features spanning React, C# backend services, databases, and deployment pipelines.
- Design and build scalable 3D geospatial solutions using the ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript, including spatial data publishing, serving, workflows, and query optimization.
- Develop and maintain backend systems, microservices, distributed services, RESTful APIs, frontend applications, and internal tools.
- Set up end-to-end solution structures, DevSecOps tooling, and deployment processes using Octopus Deploy and cloud technologies.
- Use LLM APIs, AI coding assistants, and enterprise software agents to develop, test, and iterate on production-quality code.
- Own testing strategy across unit, integration, system, end-to-end, and user acceptance testing, including creating and improving test frameworks.
- Triage complex production failures, perform root-cause analysis, and independently drive issues to resolution.
- Collaborate with product technical leads, Product Managers, and business stakeholders on new products and enhancements.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide ongoing support for organizational applications.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience with the ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript 4.x, including 3D development and publishing and serving spatial data.
- Hands-on experience with modern LLM APIs across multiple providers, including prompt engineering, tool use or function calling, structured outputs, and context engineering.
- Strong ability to review, validate, and debug AI-generated code using sound engineering judgment.
- Experience with backend systems, microservice architectures, and distributed systems using C#, Python, or Node.js.
- Frontend experience with React; Angular or Vue.js is also considered.
- Experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs and working with a major cloud platform.
- Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL, as well as NoSQL databases.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and containerization technologies.
- Experience owning testing strategy across unit, integration, and end-to-end layers, including building or improving test frameworks.
- Experience triaging production failures and independently driving root-cause analysis to resolution.
- Preferred qualifications include experience building or deploying LLM-enabled systems, AI agents, or agent orchestration frameworks.
- Preferred qualifications include experience designing evaluation and testing frameworks for AI- or agent-generated outputs and familiarity with enterprise AI or agent platforms.
- Experience in commercial real estate, research, financial services, or other data-intensive domains is preferred.
- Experience modernizing legacy systems or migrating platforms to cloud-native architectures is preferred.
