Base Salary
$345k - $405k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the technical vision and architecture for the Enterprise Identity stack.
- Lead the design of highly available, latency-sensitive identity systems.
- Establish common identity models and primitives across OpenAI's products.
- Set a high security bar by anticipating potential abuse cases and failure modes.
- Drive alignment across enterprise product, infrastructure, and security partners.
- Provide technical leadership to senior engineers and enhance architectural quality.
Requirements
- Experience owning the architecture of a business-critical platform or large-scale distributed systems.
- Proven ability to set multi-year technical direction and align teams on complex architectural decisions.
- Understanding of enterprise identity, architecture, and operational needs of large customers.
- Experience with SSO, SCIM, identity providers, tenant models, and permissions.
- Security-minded approach to systems design with consideration for potential failures.
- Ability to balance technical judgment, organizational influence, and hands-on leadership.
